Disclaimer: These handmade items are made from wood and are painted and finished by hand, too. Not all issues are a lack of quality, but a natural circumstance that the material wood and handwork brings with it. Some dents can occur during the transport, and some paint blemishes and marks may occur too. These are normal occurrences and won't affect the overall safety and usage of your balance board.
It is amazing to see the changes that can be achieved through free play with a single balance board in an early intervention setting – it improves children’s body awareness, spatial awareness, balance and coordination skills, builds self confidence and offers an opportunity for engagement in creative sensory play.
Creatimber is a waldorf inspired balanceboard which doesn`t provide ready-made solutions. the value of this creation is not what the toy can do but what the children can do with it. remember. play is in the child. not in the toy.
It can become a slide, footstool, see-saw, bridge, stage, tunnel, catapult, balance beam... or anything a child can dream up. the range of possibilities is open-ended. creatimber moves not only the children`s imagination but gives them a new moving experience, which they have never had before. it develops a sense of balance, body awareness and it is also excellent for stimulating the vesticular system.
These all have an effect on learning processes such as reading or studying maths. like so many other things, imagination is hardly something we need to give our children, for it is simply a part of who they are.
